Most insurance policies require it, and it helps law enforcement return recovered items to the rightful owner.
This can include receipts, appraisals, owner’s manuals, product packaging, or photos from your business.
Contact your local agent or Jewelers Mutual directly: call 800-558-6411 or email claims@jminsure.com. We’ll talk with you about what happened and ask you to include photos if it’s safe to do so.
Take action to prevent the damage from escalating. Reasonable costs incurred to stop further damage are usually covered, so be sure to keep your receipts.
A claims expert will contact you to collect any necessary details and assist you in finalizing your claim. If possible, please prepare a room-by-room inventory of the damages, including manufacturer names, model numbers, and purchase dates.
Your claims representative will work closely with your preferred vendor or contractor to ensure a smooth and efficient repair experience.
If your policy includes a deductible, you’ll be responsible for paying that amount first, usually directly to your contractor. If you have a mortgage or lien holder on your policy, their name will be included on the payment check, and we can’t remove them. Please keep in mind that your deductible will be subtracted from the total loss before we send your settlement.
