Jewelers Mutual covers all fine jewelry made with precious metals and gemstones.
You can trace it back— your bracelet slipped off while shopping. You can point to the moment it went missing, and you’re covered.
A break-in at home or a pickpocket on vacation—no matter where it happens, we’ll replace what’s stolen.
A prong bends, a gemstone chips, or your bracelet takes an unexpected dip in the garbage disposal. Accidents happen—we’ve got you covered.
One day it’s there, the next it’s not—no clue how or where it went. If your jewelry vanishes without explanation, don’t stress, you’re protected.*
Fires, floods, hurricanes, and even earthquakes—if a disaster damages your jewelry, we’ll make it right.
Lost your necklace in a Paris hotel? Left your ring in a cab in Tokyo? No matter where you are, your jewelry stays protected.
If your appraisal is over two years old at renewal, we may automatically adjust coverage limits every two years to help keep up with rising jewelry values.**
We cover proactive jewelry care, including prong re-tipping and repair, stone tightening, earring post and clasp replacement.*
Your jewelry is covered when shipped for repairs using USPS Registered Mail, USPS Priority Mail Express, FedEx, or UPS (a receipt is required). But our policies aren’t designed for short-term shipping coverage alone.
We don’t cover damage or loss as the result of...
if your jewelry is confiscated during a search by law enforcement
if your piece is already weak or in disrepair, we won’t cover it
such as purposely damaging or losing your jewelry
including a fire resulting from a nuclear reaction
such as an attic infestation that’s eroding heirlooms
including selling your covered jewelry and having the check bounce
loss or damage due to war or military action
issues related to resizing, cleaning, or inspection

Your jewelry deserves protection without restrictions. Unlike other insurers that cap coverage at $250,000 per item or $750,000 total, Jewelers Mutual insures your pieces for their full documented value—up to 100%.
Plus, our "all perils" coverage means you're protected from most risks unless specifically excluded. No arbitrary limits. Just the coverage you need.
Unlike traditional insurers that just issue a check and leave you to find a replacement, Jewelers Mutual ensures your jewelry is replaced with a piece of the same kind and quality. If it's repairable, we’ll get it fixed for you. Our experts work directly with your jeweler to find the closest possible match, handling everything so you don’t have to. No stress, no guesswork—just the jewelry you love, restored.
If you live in the U.S. or Canada (except Québec) and are over 18, you’re able to apply for coverage. The individual who wears the jewelry must also live in one of these locations. Your jewelry needs to be in your possession when you apply, and shouldn’t be in need of repairs or maintenance.
We recommend buying insurance as soon as the item is in your possession, even if you then hand it over to the jeweler for resizing. You can buy insurance at any time, as long as the item doesn't need repairs. Get a quote online today, or if you have multiple pieces, give us a call at 888-884-2424.
In most cases, your coverage starts the same day you apply and purchase insurance. If we need more info, we’ll reach out, typically within two days—and coverage will begin once we have all required documents. Want an update on your application? Call us at 888-884-2424 or email personaljewelry@jminsure.com. We’re here to help.
